TITLE:
ESL Tutor
POSITION TYPE:
Part-time; Non-exempt
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
ESL tutor works with students in small groups of five or less, who have been
identified as needing additional support in English language acquisition.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold a high school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Effectively uses verbal, nonverbal, writing, and listening skills
- Demonstrates professionalism and fosters a positive environment
- Ability to relate to children, teachers, and other school staff
REPORTS TO:
Coordinator for ESL
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITES:
- Work side-by-side with the English as a second language teachers to help students improve English language acquisition.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Monday through Friday with limited hours
