TITLE:

• Teacher – Early Childhood Special Education

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Professional Teaching License with a teaching endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education.

REPORTS TO:

• Principal or designated administrator

JOB GOAL:

• Assume responsibility for the instructional program for students with disabilities

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform tasks assigned to all teachers
• Provide instruction to students with disabilities
• Serve as a contributing member of school transdisciplinary teams
• Adapt and modify curricula and instruction as required by individual students’ educational plans
• Conduct individual assessments
• Serve as a learning consultant to school colleagues
• Serve as s member of the Child Study, Eligibility, and IEP Committees
• Other duties as assigned by the principal or Board

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

• 200 days per year. Additional duties may be contracted for specific job assignments. Salary according to School Board Pay Plan.

• Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Personnel
